Ishq Ke Parindey is all about Faiz (Rishi Verma), an aspiring lawyer who falls in love with Sheen (Priyanka Mehta). Sheen too falls for Faiz but their relationship gets strained, when Sheen discovers that Faiz’s brother is a criminal.
If this was not enough, Sheen becomes an eye witness to a murder in a restaurant. Now coincidentally, these people happen to be Faiz’s brother’s henchmen. Wow!! That’s so convenient and easy.
Anyways, moving on, Sheen feels that even Faiz is like his brother, so breaks her ties with him. Faiz on the other hand desperately tries to tell Sheen that he is not like his brother. Once again wow!!
To make matters worse, the boy is an Indian and the girl from Pakistan. What follows is typical and mundane melodrama that kind of gets torturous by the time you reach the end.
The good thing about this film is the fact that the makers has captured Lucknow very well. Guess you will fall in love with the city if not with the film.
Priyanka Mehta looks lost, while Rishi Verma has really tried his best to give his character all that he could. It’s the effort that he has put in made me sit through this one.
Ishq Ke Parindey is a typical love story that has nothing new to offer. Being a love story one expected the film to have some great music, but sadly none of the songs are worth even listening once.
Director Shakir Khan has fallen flat in executing a film that is saddled with a very weak script. Wish he could have worked on the script a bit more and not restored to a predictable formula.
Moral of the story, fall in love with whoever you want to, but before that, check their background, as one cannot afford criminals in your family.
