It has some great locations, it has some great music and it has a story that has some great confusions; well, we are talking about Dilliwaali Zaalim Girlfriend, that changes tracks faster than a sports bike.
Dilliwaali Zaalim Girlfriend is all about Dhruv (Divyendu Sharma), an aspiring IAS officer, who falls in love with Sakshi (Prachi Mishra), a bank employee in charge of giving loans.
In order to impress her, he and his roommate Happy (Pradhuman Singh) buy a car on loan, which gets stolen and things go out of hand.
In all of this we have businessman Minocha (Jackie Shroff), who rules the stolen car business in Delhi. Happy’s phone is left in the car and the tracking software notifies Dhruv when the sim card is changed. They locate the vehicle, but the police is hand in glove with Minocha.
By the time you are tying to find some sense in all of this Dhruv falls in love with Nimmy (Ira Dubey), a television journalist.
Now why was Nimmy even introduced, is something we need to ask the makers as it looks totally forced and out of place. Or should we say that she was only there to carry out the sting operation. Never mind!!
The film starts off as a cute youth centric romantic film, then changes track and becomes a story of a don, further changes track becomes and thriller and finally it ends.
The script of Dilliwaali Zaalim Girlfriend is just all over the place. The makes have tried to add all that they can in this film, making it look very confused and all over the place.
Barring Divyendu Sharma and Pradhuman Singh nothing really works for the film.
Japinder Kaur, the director of this one has put together a film which is a classic example of a good recipe totally gone wrong.
Best to avoid this one completely.
