“Before various new ailments are endowed upon me, I hasten to clarify that all is well. It is not true that I was injured while shooting. It was a make-up rubber prosthetic that slipped into my nasal passage and had to be carefully removed under medical supervision. It was a stunt scene so I had simulated injuries on the face.” Kamal Haasan said in a statement.
The rumour circulated after Kamal Haasan was rushed to a hospital with a bruised face and that led to the interpolated news.
According to sources, Kamal Haasan’s nose was bruised when he was shooting for a fighting scene. In Papanasama, he is essaying the role of a villain.
Recently, Kamal Haasan was discharged from a hospital in Chennai. The Tamil superstar was under treatment in Apollo Hospital with symptoms of food poisoning. It was initially reported that Kamal Haasan was suffering from any neurological ailments. However, his close aides had dismissed all reports terming them rumours.
Coming back to Papanasama, the film is being directed by Jeethu Joseph and is the Tamil remake of the Malayalam blockbuster Drishyam. The film also stars child actor Esther Anil.
Besides Papanasama, Kamal Haasan is busy scripting Uttama Villain that’s being directed by Ramesh Arvind. Uttama Villain is said to be the story of an ageing superstar, featuring Kamal Haasan, who plays a double role.
“Kamal Sir has written the film’s script as well as dialogues. The film is Kamal Sir’s script, hence he was keen on writing the dialogues to do complete justice to the story.” states Ramesh Arvind who is busy with the pre-production of the film that is set to go on the floors very soon.
