There are films in which the intent doesn’t match the outcome and Hum Chaar is one such film.
It’s a film about friendship and love. Namit (Prit Kamani), Abeer (Anshuman Malhotra) and Surjo (Tushar Pandey) are medical college students. Now it’s a different thing that they are almost never shown studying or for that matter attending lectures. Anyway, so Manjari (Simran Sharma) enters college as their junior and all of them fall for her. Soon after, an incident takes place and their life changes forever.
The film has a weak story and even the main twist that takes place in around the interval point seems forced and is not convincing at all. It’s also very long and doesn’t have enough engaging moments. Most of it is very boring. The only redeeming bits are some good songs and dialogues.
Prit Kamani delivers a confident performance. Simran Sharma needs to improve her acting. Anshuman Malhotra & Tushar Pandey are good.
Hum Chaar is an uninspiring film. We give it two stars with no kinks.
