Ek Haseena Thi Ek Deewana Tha Review: Bad Acting, Worse Story, Worst Screenplay

Ek Haseena Thi Ek Deewana Tha has released and like any other Friday, this movie’s fate has also been decided. From the looks of the trailer, it did give us a glimpse of how messed-up the story is, but after watching it, we are here to confirm that yes, it is bad! Upen Patel, Natasha Fernandez, and Shiv Pandit starrer, EHTEDT was supposed to be a suspense-thriller-romantic film, but after watching it, even we are confused about its genre.

So here goes the story, Natasha and Upen are getting married at her mansion, where she has never been in her entire life. Natasha never had feelings for Upen, but still wishes to marry her childhood friend. In this mess, she meets Dev, a wannabe spirit, who tries to seduce her and make her fall in love. With a lot of twists and turns in the film, it turns out that Dev is not a spirit but a paid actor who is hired to kill Natasha. Before he could attain his motive, he falls in love with this pretty face who doesn’t know how to act and Upen is left all heartbroken. Later, Upen and Natasha’s engagement is called off, and every member of the family is searching for the main culprit who desires to kill this millionaire’s daughter for property.

Introduction to every character is so old school that you’ll surely doze off. The confusing sher-o-shayris by Shiv and metaphoric elaboration into every character’s life will make you go crazy. It seems like a stone emotes more than Natasha and other actor’s face, which is nothing but hilarious. Abrupt songs added between the dialogues will confuse the shit out of everyone. The plight of every character is still unknown.

This film deserves no stars at all! Do not waste your time. You’re warned.
