Aishwarya Rai became Aishwarya Rai Bachchan on this very day in the year 2007. According to reports, Aishwarya and Abhishek have decided to ring in the eighth year of the matrimonial bliss by having a quiet dinner with family and friends in the evening.
Aishwarya, who is currently shooting for Sanjay Gupta’s Jazbaa, chose to shoot on April 19 so that she could spend the day with her family. Abhishek, also, flew in to Mumbai from London late last night to be with his family.
Meanwhile, Abhishek and Aishwarya’s fans sent in their wishes for the lovely couple in the form of picture collages, poems among others.
Apparently, both fell in love on the sets of J.P. Dutta’s Umrao Jaan, which saw Aishwarya reprise the historical character of Umrao Jaan with Abhishek essaying the role of Nawab Sultan.
It’s been a while that we have seen both Aishwarya and Abhishek share screen space. Earlier they have shared screen space in films like Dhai Akshar Prem Ke (2000), Kuchh Na Kaho (2003), Umrao Jaan (2006), Dhoom 2 (2006) and Guru (2007).
Post their marriage, Aishwarya took a break from acting and on November 16, 2011, they welcomed their princess, Aaradhya Bachchan.
Recently, Mr. Bachchan took on to Twitter to describe what Aaradhya is all about and wrote, “The little one gets precocious by the hour and talks non stop with as many questions as one could possibly imagine. It’s the best time to be with her. Her homemade stories, her banter of what she feels about situations, her friends, her family, her toys and her home!! These are indeed the happiest days of their lives, before they get exposed to this big bad world!”
Here’s wishing this gorgeous couple a very happy wedding anniversary!!
