Feature Name: Bumblebee
Director: Travis Knight
Cast: Hailee Steinfeld, John Cena, Jorge Lendeborg Jr, John Ortiz, Pamela Adlon
Bumblebee has less action and more emotions. And that’s a good thing.

The year is 1987 and there’s a civil war going on in alien planet Cybertron between the Autobots and Decepticons. Bumblebee is asked to go to Earth so that the Autobots can later find refuge there. But he loses his memory along the way and lands up in a San Francisco garage. Meanwhile, Charlie (Hailee Steinfeld), is struggling after the demise of her father and wants a car for her 18th birthday. She accidently encounters Bumblebee and soon after, their life takes a 360 degree turn.

Bumblebee has the right amount of humour, action and emotions. In some portions, it does seem a drag but that’s okay. The action is good and so are the emotional moments. The climax is a bit predictable but exciting nevertheless.

Hailee Steinfeld is pretty good while John Cena doesn’t have much to do.

Bumblebee is pretty decent. We give it 3 stars with a kink.
