Brothers went on floors in September 2014 and a considerable amount of scenes have already been filmed it is likely to be completed way before the originally scheduled release date of October 02, 2015.
However, when Karan Johar decided to release Brothers on July 31, 2015, he released that Akshay Kumar had already decided to release his home production Singh Is Bling, that is being directed by Prabhudheva on the same day.
Karan had a word with Akshay, who, did not even think twice and offered his July date to Karan.
“The team Brothers is truly forging ahead. The pace and energy of the shoot has been incredible. We have actually decided to prep one our release to July 31, 2015. Ashvini Yardi and Akshay have graciously given us that date and we have given them our previous date of October 2nd. In days of delays and strictly professional dealings this situation is truly a fraternity feature and validates the fact that strong relationships can exist even today.” stated Karan Johar.
Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar has taken on the task of training his co-star, Sidharth Malhotra, in preparation for Brothers.
Both the actors have reportedly been working relentlessly on gruelling fitness regimes both requiring highly controlled diets, prolonged martial arts training sessions and weight lifting.
Having studied Martial Arts in Hong Hong, Akshay Kumar is not only a qualified Martial Arts Instructor, but has risen in recent years to the prestigious accolade of Shihan.
The Indian film remake of the 2011 hit Warrior sees Akshay playing Sidharth’s older brother, who are both martial arts fighters, seeking victory in the ring.
Dharma Productions, Lionsgate and Endemol India present Brothers, that is being directed by Karan Malhotra.
