Bollywood Movies Where Pets Played A Crucial Role

Bollywood has an unbreakable relationship with, romance, dance, comedy, action, picturesque landscapes and…pets! Yes, there have been many Bollywood movies where pets played a very important role.

Seems like even animals couldn’t resist themselves from being part of the film fraternity. Normally, movies have a hero & a heroine, but in these below-mentioned movies, it was the pet who stole the spotlight & audience couldn’t control themselves from saying Awww!

1. Hum Aapke Hain Kaun
Remember Tuffy? Prem’s (Salman Khan) pet dog who’s playful, naughty & smart AF. Tuffy can be an umpire for cricket, can guard groom’s shoes, & knew whom to give that letter when Nisha (Madhuri Dixit) handed it over to him. Also, he was the saddest when Pooja (Renuka Shahane) passed away. Seems like, animals know how to act too!

2. Entertainment
This movie was an Akshay Kumar starrer until Entertainment came into the picture. If you have seen this movie, then you know whom I’m talking about. The fluffy dog, Entertainment, literally entertained us with his wit & chemistry with Akshay Kumar & Johnny Lever. We were really heartbroken when he took the bullet & died, but he was saved & the movie ended happily.

3. Chillar Party
This movie has an amazing bunch of notorious kids, living in a society where stray dogs aren’t allowed. Then enters, a slum kid named Phatka with his stray pet, Bhidu. The movie revolves around how kids from both the sections of society eventually get along & even fight for their now beloved pet, Bhidu.

4. Haathi Mere Saathi
If you think only dogs can be made to act in a movie, then you’re probably wrong. Elephants can act too! And this movie proved it. This Rajesh Khanna starrer is tearfully sad. Khanna’s onscreen wife, asks him to choose between their only child & four elephants who saved his life when he was a kid. Who does that!

5. Dil Dhadakne Do
Thanks to Pluto Mehra, the pet dog of the dysfunctional Mehra family, we were able to understand what’s happening in the movie and the family. FYI, Pluto was voiced by none other than Aamir Khan, & he lovingly did so. He was the coolest member of the Mehra family and should we say the most sensible one too.
So, these were the movies which almost made our day with these extremely talented pets showcasing their acting skills. If you have more such interesting movies to add to this list, then mention them in the comments below.
