From being Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan’s son to making a debut as an actor in 2000 with Refugee, form being written off as an actor to finally making a mark for himself in Bollywood, Abhishek Bachchan has come a long way.
As a child, he suffered from a medical condition called dyslexia. He attended several schools in his childhood and is believed to have attended the Boston University for a brief period.
Today he hands tall, literally and otherwise, as one of the most powerful entities in Bollywood both as an actor and as a producer.
Abhishek, made his debut with J.P. Dutta’s Refugee in the year 2000 opposite Kareena Kapoor. Post that most of his films flopped at the Box Office and he was written off.
However it was in the year 2004 that one saw him essaying the role ACP Jai Dixit in Dhoom, the film that changed fortunes for this talented actor.
Dhoom was followed by yet Mani Ratnam’s Yuva in the same year and finally he had arrived.
Abhishek Bachchan then went on to be a part of blockbusters like Shaad Ali’s Bunty Aur Babli, Ramg Gopal Verma’s Sarkar, Karan Johar’s Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, Mani Ratman’s Guru, R. Balki’s Paa, Rohit Shetty’s Bol Bachchan, Farah Khan’s Happy New Year and many more.
As a producer, Abhishek Bachchan has films like Paa (2009) and the very recent Shamitabh (2015) to his credit.
Married to Aishwarya Rai, he has a four year old daughter Aaradhya.
Abhishek Bachchan also owns a Pro Kabaddi League‘s franchise team, Jaipur Pink Panthers, and is also a co-owner of the Indian Super League football team Chennaiyin FC. His Kabaddi team Jaipur Pink Panthers even won the first ever championship held in 2014.
A perfect son, a loving husband and a dating father; that’s what Abhishek Bachchan is all about.
