According to the promos, the film looks intense and will have some outstanding performances by the star cast but all we are getting to read about the film is sex and sleaze, that we presume, is an intrinsic part of the narrative of the film. Sad but true.
Apparently there were three ending to Badlapur but the riskiest one chosen, which according to some is a take on society that we live in.
Badlapur is an important film in the career of Varun Dhawan, who has so far starred in romantic comedies. He feels that this one breaks away form repetitive content. Well we can only say this once we get to see the film.
“This film is very entertaining. It is fast paced and edge of the seat thriller. We have taken a lot of risks but we have taken them because it is fun. Badlapur will make you feel uncomfortable but in a cool way.” states Varun.
Coming back to the way the film has been publicised, well it’s astonishing that the makes have totally forgotten that they have two powerhouse performers in the film; Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Divya Dutta. Guess it’s time we talk about them rather than how much money will the film make and will it enter the 100 crore club or no.
Coming to the director, Sriram Raghavan has Agent Vinod being him, but then Badlapur looks different, though one feels that it has been a ripoff from the Korean film Broken.
Broken is all about a father-daughter relationship, wherein the father becomes a fugitive as he hunts down the two men responsible for his daughter’s rape and murder.
Produced by Dinesh Vijan under his banner Maddock Films, Badlapur also stars Yami Gautam, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Huma Qureshi and Divya Dutta in pivotal roles.
Here’s wishing team Badlapur all the best.
We are just days away from the release of Varun Dhawan starrer Badlapur (February 20, 2015) and it's sad to see that all we get to read about the film...3.0
