After Salman Khan, Nagarjuna and Hrithik Roshan it was Amitabh Bachacha who picked up the broom to sweep the streets of Mumbai in support of the Clean India Campaign. The move earned him praises from Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Amitabh Bachchan shot for the grand finale of Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 8 with Govinda, Ranveer Singh and Parineeti Chopra, who are promoting their film Kill Dil, but before going to the sets, Mr. Bachchan decided to participate in the Clean India Campaign.
He picked up the broom and swept the streets near the studio, where Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 8 was being shot. Amitabh Bachchan was spotted in a jumpsuit, participating in the Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan and helping the cleaners in the vicinity.
“And before the finale, it was Swach Bharat Abhiyaan. Went on the streets and broomed and collected dirt to clean up the place.” wrote Amitabh Bachchan on Twitter.
The Clean India Campaign or the Swachh Bharat campaign introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 02, 2014.
Urging people to get inspired, Prime Minister Narendra Modi retweeted Mr. Bachchan’s participation in the drive. He was so touched by the gesture, that he took on to Twitter and wrote, “Who wont get inspired when Amitabh Bachchan himself wields the broom and joins Swachh Bharat Mission! Very significant effort”
In the mean while, a music video dedicated to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Clean India Campaign (Swachh Bharat Abhiyan) has crossed one million hits on YouTube.
The video has been produced and sung by Ravindra Singh, managing director of R-Vision India. Titled Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, lays emphasis on making the country a clean place for it’s people. The makers have tried to insert the vision and thoughts of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the music video.
The lyrics are by Rani Malik and the music is composed by the trio Manek, Satya and Afsar. The video has been directed by Rajeev Khandelwal.
