Slamming the news Amitabh Bachchan took on to Twitter and wrote, “Some baseless rumours being spread about Yusuf Saheb – Dilip Kumar, being ill. Saira ji just informed me he is perfectly fine!,”
After a string of online rumours of his ill-health, Dilip Kumar himself emerged out of his hibernation from Twitter to ensure his fans know that he’s well. He has thanked everyone for their concern.
“Phone calls from all over the world. All night. Your love and prayers and Allah’s blessings cannot be thanked enough,” twitted Dilip Kumar following almost a day of rumours about his health scare.

“I plan to be regular on this medium. I’ve asked Mouthshut to post what I dictate and read to me your messages,” he added.
The Twitter handle is that of Faisal Farooqui, the founder and Chief Executive Officer of MouthShut.com.
Dilip Kumar recently attended Salman Khan’s sister Arpita Khan’s wedding reception in Mumbai with his wife Saira.
In 2011, rumours spread like wildfire of the veteran actor’s death. After which, the actor’s wife Saira Bani issued a public statement, clarifying that he was completely fine.
Bollywood has time and again been entertaining several gimmicks and hoaxes sometimes sportingly and sometimes unknowingly.
Dilip Kumar is not the first to have encountered such filthy news, Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif, Lata Mangeshkar are amongst many who have dealt with such fake death news in the recent past.
Amitabh Bachchan’s fake death news surrounded the media when a report regarding him being died in car cash went viral. The news stated that Mr. Bachchan had faced a fatal car accident in the United States. Further, the buzz even added the details of his funeral. However, Mr. Bachchan remained silent over the news and continued being active through his blog and other micro blogging sites that ultimately proved the news of his death false.
One of the most popular death hoax spread was of Lata Mangeshkar. The musical enchantress was claimed dead by some empty minders and it didn’t take long for Twitter to spread the word.
Even Katrina Kaif has also remained one of the victims of severe death hoax being circulated around with great fervour. Not long ago, the actress who was busy shooting for her film overseas got stunned after knowing about the news piece that claimed her to be dead.
