Aishwarya Rai, Shabana Azmi, Irrfan Khan, Anupam Kher, Atul Kulkarni, Siddhanth Kapoor and Chandan Roy Sanyal were all present at the session.
Refuting reports of the film getting delayed, Sanjay Gupta announced that the shooting schedule has, in fact, been advanced by almost a month and would start by the end of January 2015.
“And the journey begins. Left home for first script reading of Jazbaa. God Bless my cast and crew,” Sanjay Gupta posted on Twitter.
“Internationally, it’s the norm. More than anything, it helps the cast bond with each other before the shooting starts. It’s a better arrangement than having the actors reach the sets and directly begin reading their lines in front of each other.” stated Sanjay Gupta when asked about the reason for the script reading session.
Anupam Kher posted a picture of the crew on his Twitter. “Sanjay Gupta starts ‘Jazbaa’ with style and a script reading with the entire cast. Looking forward to start shooting,” he tweeted.
Looking stunning in a shimmery blue top and denims, Aishwarya seemed every bit excited about her new film. The script, she said, was motivating enough for her to take a decision to return to work after a post-maternity sabbatical.
Though leaving her daughter Aaradhya behind for the shoot would be a difficult choice, but she said she opted for the film because of its script. Irrfan Khan, who recently underwent a minor surgery, seemed to be charged up about the film, so did Shabana, Chandan and Atul who return to mainstream cinema with this film after a long time.
The script of Jazbaa is said to be inspired from a Korean film called Seven Days.
Here’s wishing team Jazbaa all the best!!
