After making his mark down south, Aditya Om surprised us with Salaam Hyderabad. The film that released in 2008 was in Urdu and it caught a lot of media attention.
But with films like Maa Annaya Bangaaram and Bhamakalapam, things kind of fell apart for him.
Failures made him even more stronger and he bounced back with a lot of determination and passion.
Aditya Om launched his own production and decided to try his hand at direction. His first hindi film as a director and writer was Bandook, that released in 2013.
The film was a crime thriller and starred Manisha Kelkar, Ashish Kotwal, Arshad Khan, Gauri Shankar, Virendra Singh along with Aditya Om in pivotal roles.
Bandook connected crime and politics. It was a psychological peep inside the minds of people who use power of gun as a ladder to wordly success and directed the vast distance covered by human mind from picking a gun to pulling the trigger.
Aditya Om is currently working on a film titled Friend Request. He is not only directing and writing the film but is also acting in the same.
In Friend Request, he will be seen essaying the role of a ghost psychologist who deals in paranormal and psychic activities.
For the role, Aditya went through a series of look tests before giving himself a nod, such is the dedication of this talented actor.
Friend Request also stars Niteesh Chowdary, Pankaj and Rohith and is a bilingual film in Telugu and Hindi. The Hindi version is titled Fun Freaked Face Booked and the shooting of the two versions is being done simultaneously.
