At a recent event, when Aamir had condemned the AIB Knockout, and had called it violent and shameful, a major section of people stated that his reaction was overrated and his was hypocritical as he himself had produced a film like Delhi Belly that was laced with such sexual under tones.
After heading them out and keeping quite for a couple of weeks, Aamir Khan finally broke his silence and stated that he is very well aware of what goes on when you sigh up for a Roast, but then why drag people who are no where even involved.
Yes, in a Roast, you have the right to insult each other, but then it should just end there and we totally second his sentiment.
According to Aamir Khan, films that depict violence are fictional but what happened at the AIB Knockout was for real, as real people were being targeted and the people who were present there just sat and laughed. Sad, but true!!
Aamir, has even stated that he did not object to the use of expletives or adult jokes. He pointed out that if two consenting adults wish to insult each other, then it was their problem but to attack anyone without their consent is wrong.
Veteran actors like Farida Jalal and Reema Lagoo were mocked at and one also heard a cheap remark make on Parineeti Chopra, something that was totally uncalled for.
Anyway, now coming to his current assignment, Aamir Khan is currently busy training in wrestling and learning Haryanvi for his role in Dangal. In the film he plays an ageing ex-wrestler.
The movie will portray the emotional journey of a father and his two daughters and has women empowerment as it’s main theme.
The film is being directed by Nitish Tiwari.
